Make your work reflect your passion
Once upon a time, there was a hardworking young man named Shady who throughout his life excelled in his studies and graduated from the Faculty of Engineering (Civil Department).
He joined the work as a site civil engineer in one of the governmental companies.
Every day, he is working for12 hours a day starting from 7 am to 7 pm!
His salary was modest and his work became routine and became boring.
In Egypt, the number of engineers had become much more than what the Egyptian market needed (one engineer for every 8.5 citizens instead of one engineer for every 200 citizens!), which caused the salaries of engineers to drop.
Shady is starting to lose his passion in this field and in the place he works in.
He feels that this place does not suit him. He is not the person he wants to be.
Because of that, he decided to seek his passion and began reading about marketing science to Philip Kotler (a famous American marketing author, consultant, and professor), where he found his passion in.
Technology has become the language of the era, Because of that, he decided to become a professional digital marketer in particular.
But the most important obstacles were :
1-How does he can save money for the courses in order to improve his practical marketing skills While, his salary is not large enough that he can pay for the educational courses.
2- How does he can save time to learn marketing skills , he works more than 12 hours a day!
For a moment, Shady was about to be disappointed, but he quickly remembered the wisdom that says (Love what you do until you do what you love).
Until
finally, Shady found precisely what he was looking for. an amazing advertisement for the digital marketing nanodegree program from Udacity appears in front of his eyes on social media (Facebook). The program was free of charge via the Internet, which would save him time, effort, and money.
That was a turning point in Shady's career life, as he finally found a way that satisfies his passion and at the same time improve his income. He could gradually transform from his career as a civil site engineer to be a freelance marketer via the Internet.
